SW Subscription Fee Increase Burden on Small Businesses ↑

With the price of Microsoft 365, essential for document creation and office work, set to increase in a month, it is becoming a burden for small businesses that cannot afford to cancel their subscriptions for office work.

Microsoft Korea announced in November last year that it would raise commercial business prices from April 1, 2023 to balance the prices of on-premise software and online services between Korea and the Asia region due to exchange rate fluctuations.

Accordingly, starting April 1, the Korean Won prices for on-premise software will increase by 15%, and those for online services will increase by 11%.

It has been reported that small businesses are feeling a significant burden from the upcoming price increase, which will occur in a month.

This is because software such as Microsoft 365 is essential for businesses, so they have no choice but to purchase it even if the price goes up.

It is reported that the recent increase in business software prices is felt quite significantly due to difficulties such as rising prices of goods and raw materials, and declining sales due to the economic downturn.

In this situation, Microsoft 365 resellers are attracting attention by providing additional discounts on the pre-increase price.

Resellers are known to have a policy of securing as many customers as possible before raising prices.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that this price increase does not apply to hardware or general consumer products such as Office and Windows.
