The kit features wireless System-on-Module (SOM) technology designed to maximize power efficiency in battery-powered industrial AI applications.

The ConnectCore MP255 development kit is designed around the STM32MP255C 64-bit microprocessor from STMicroelectronics.

The microprocessor delivers high performance suitable for edge AI and computer vision applications, including a neural processing unit (NPU) and image signal processor (ISP).

Additionally, its compact design in the SMTplus® form factor (30x30mm) makes it ideal for portable devices and Industry 4.0 applications.

The development kit can run AI applications on CPU, GPU, and NPU, and has flexible graphics capabilities that can utilize 3D GPU, high-resolution display interfaces (MIPI, LVDS, etc.), and ISP-based camera ports.

In addition to this, it also supports wired connectivity features such as PCIe Gen2, USB 3.0, CAN-FD, and TSN-supported Gigabit Ethernet, along with Wi-Fi 6 (6It is fully integrated with cutting-edge wireless connectivity features such as USB-C (USB 3.0) and Bluetooth 5.4.

In particular, the MP255 development kit can leverage the multimedia capabilities provided by ST’s Edge AI ecosystem, while delivering the stability and performance required for machine vision and advanced edge computing applications.
