Mouser Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, is stocking the RZ/V2N embedded AI microprocessor (MPU) from Renesas Electronics.

This product is designed to apply vision AI technology to a variety of applications, and is expected to be utilized in various fields that require advanced embedded processing, such as AI cameras, robots, and dashboard cameras.

The RZ/V2N MPU, available from Mouser, features a high-performance AI accelerator that delivers up to 15 TOPS of AI interface performance and 10 TOPS/W power efficiency.

This MPU includes a quad-core Arm® Cortex®-A55 processor (1.8GHz) and a low-power Cortex-M33 core (200MHz), and an optional image signal processor (ISP) is also available.

It operates stably even without a cooling system, contributing to reducing component costs and extending battery life.

In particular, it supports two 4-lane MIPI® CSI-2® camera interfaces, enabling multi-image capture and precise spatial recognition.

This can dramatically improve the precision of AI-based image processing, such as human movement analysis and fall detection.

This product supports L 32bit x1 ECCEquipped with PDDR4/4X memory interface, it ensures high processing speed of 12.8GB/s and data integrity.

It comes in a 15mm x 15mm BGA package and is optimized for the development of compact AI embedded applications.

Previous models support AI features that were only available in higher versions, enabling the development of cost-effective AI solutions.

Mouser also offers the RZ/V2N-EVK evaluation kit, providing a comprehensive platform for embedded AI development.

The evaluation kit includes 8GB of memory and 64MB of xSPI flash storage, and provides a variety of communication options to enable more seamless AI processing tasks.

Renesas' RZ/V2N MPUs are expected to set a new standard in the vision AI market, offering high-performance AI computing, spatial recognition capabilities, and efficient power management.
