ADI Ethernet Switches for Industrial Low-Latency Communications
Mouser Electronics, a global electronic components distributor, has further enhanced its solutions for building reliable, low-latency networks in industrial automation.
Mouser announced today that it is now stocking the ADIN3310 and ADIN6310 industrial Ethernet switches from Analog Devices (ADI).
ADI's ADIN3310 (3-port) and ADIN6310 (6-port) Ethernet switches being supplied this time are designed based on IEEE TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) technology, enabling stable and predictable data transmission even in industrial communication environments where delay time is important.
The product is optimized for a wide range of applications including factory and process automation, motion control, robotics, building management systems, and transportation.
Both switches provide flexible MAC (Media Access Controller) interfaces and, when combined with ADI's PHY devices, enable low-power, low-latency system designs.
It also features SGMII and RGMII interfaces that support speeds of up to 1Gbps, and integrates PRP (Parallel Redundancy Protocol) and HSR (Continuous High Availability Redundancy) functions to further enhance network stability and resilience.
ADI's products also boast powerful features from a security perspective.
It includes features such as hardware-based encryption, secure boot, and secure host pairing, and supports all IEEE TSN standards such as 802.1AS (Time Synchronization), 802.1Qbv (Schedule-Based Traffic Control), and 802.1CB (Frame Redundancy Transmission).
This allows for providing optimized QoS (Quality of Service) for delay-sensitive applications.
In particular, the ADIN6310 can set each of its six ports to different speeds, satisfying various device and system requirements and maximizing flexibility in network configuration.
The evaluation kit for developers, EVAL-ADIN3310EBZ, includes the ADIN3310 Ethernet switch, three Ethernet PHYs ADIN1300, USB and Ethernet cables, and copper and fiber SFP cages for SGMII, facilitating testing and development in real-world environments.
