Organized into a process-centric system encompassing the entire process and advanced packaging
ACM Research has reorganized its semiconductor equipment portfolio into a process-stage structure. Moving away from a method of listing individual equipment, the move groups front-end processes and advanced packaging under a single framework is interpreted as a measure to more clearly present its business scope.

ACM Research announced on the 14th that it has reorganized its product portfolio into the 'ACM Planetary Family.' Under the new structure, the products consist of eight product families tailored to key stages of semiconductor manufacturing.

The eight axes consist of cleaning equipment, wafer-level advanced packaging, electroplating, furnaces, tracks, plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition, panel-level advanced packaging, and stress-free polishing equipment. The company calls this the 'Eight Planet' series.

This reorganization places more emphasis on reorganizing the expanded product lineup to align with the semiconductor process flow, rather than simply adding new equipment types. From a customer's perspective, this means it has become easier to identify the company's supply scope by process stage rather than by individual equipment names.

ACM Research started with cleaning equipment lines and has expanded its business scope toward front-end processes and advanced packaging. Amidst the trend of increasingly segmented semiconductor manufacturing processes and the growing importance of advanced packaging, this announcement can be interpreted as the company reorganizing its technology portfolio based on a process-centric approach.
