Model-based systems engineering is a technology that can manage and optimize system complexity and is currently being actively introduced in the automotive and mobility, aerospace, and high-tech industries.

Dassault Systèmes announced on the 21st that it is forming a partnership to support LG Electronics’ performance goals for advanced development and innovation in the development process through Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). LG Electronics sought to strengthen the competitiveness of its product development process through the introduction of advanced MBSE technology.

Dassault Systèmes is working with the advanced development organization of LG Electronics’ H&A Division to carry out the “Digital Transformation with MBSE” project for advanced product development and value creation based on MBSE. Among them, it was announced that MBSE will be applied to the development of LG Electronics' heating and cooling system, which requires high complexity.

For this collaboration between the two companies, Dassault Systèmes explained that it will provide expert manpower and core technologies from its global headquarters as well as Korea.

With the introduction of MBSE based on the 3D Experience Platform, LG Electronics expects to be able to improve modeling, traceability, and work efficiency according to requirements for product development. In addition, it is expected to improve work efficiency, system models, and quality through multi-physics analysis through simulation and minimizing change response time through improved control capabilities.
