Enhanced recommendation mode features and automation functions

Following Apple HomeKit and Akara, LG Electronics is providing a convenient customer experience by linking various devices from domestic IoT brand Hejhome with the LG ThinQ app.

LG Electronics announced that it will provide a linkage service for devices from domestic IoT brand Hejhome through the LG ThinQ app.

LG Electronics has added eight IoT products from Heyhome, including electric curtains, smart light bulbs, smart plugs, temperature and humidity sensors, motion sensors, door sensors, smart buttons, and smart hubs, to the list of linked products that can be directly controlled through the LG ThinQ app.

This allows you to open or close HeyHome's electric curtains, turn smart light bulbs on or off, and even change their color through the LG ThinQ app. When Heyhome's temperature and humidity sensor is linked to LG's Whisen air conditioner, the air conditioner will automatically maintain the indoor temperature according to the set temperature.

LG Electronics said that it is continuously expanding IoT devices of various brands, including HeyHome, Apple HomeKit, and Akara.

LG Electronics is not only expanding the devices linked to the LG ThinQ app, but also strengthening the mode and automation functions that make it more convenient to use home appliances and IoT devices.

The 'Recommended Mode' function, which allows you to control multiple products at once through the LG ThinQ app, has been expanded to seven. The ThinQ app's 'Automation Function', which allows home appliances and IoT devices to operate according to set conditions, has also been strengthened. The recommended automation, which allows you to control air conditioners, air purifiers, and lights according to the distance from your home, has been expanded to 16.

Meanwhile, LG Electronics is accelerating the expansion of its smart home ecosystem. It was selected as the chairman of the global standards association CSA (Connectivity Standards Alliance) and recently announced that it has joined the HCA (Home Connectivity Alliance), which major home appliance and air conditioning companies have joined.

LG Electronics H&A Business Division H&A Platform Business Division Managing Director Yeom Jang-seon said, “We will provide differentiated customer experiences unique to LG ThinQ by steadily increasing the number of IoT devices that can be linked and adding new features to make it more convenient for customers.”
