CEVA XM4 Vision DSP Powers Smart Home Appliances with Edge AI SoCs
As advanced strategies adopting AI technology in the development of smart home appliances are spreading to improve user experience, products with intelligent vision processing were unveiled at CES 2023.
CEVA, a wireless connectivity and smart sensing technology licensing company, announced on the 5th that LG Electronics (hereinafter referred to as LG) will contribute to improving the user experience by integrating the CEVA XM4 intelligent vision digital signal processor (DSP) into the 'LG8111' edge AI system-on-chip (SoC) in its next-generation smart home appliances.
LG will present its groundbreaking MoodUP refrigerator, which runs on a new edge AI SoC and LG ThinQ AI platform, at 'CES 2023', the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition, which will be held from the 5th (Korean time).

The CEVA XM4 intelligent vision DSP enables new features and applications in smart home appliances that incorporate computer vision processing. Additionally, LG8111 is said to contribute to a better user experience by developing applications that combine AI processing within LG devices and CEVA's computer vision.
