Samsung Electronics' AI home appliances are expected to improve consumer satisfaction as they will be upgraded with the artificial intelligence voice assistant 'Bixby', allowing easy voice control of home appliances.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 26th that the upgraded artificial intelligence (AI) voice assistant 'Bixby' will be applied to 'Bespoke AI home appliances', allowing home appliances to be controlled more easily with voice commands that understand context based on natural language.

Through this, home appliances can understand each intent even if multiple commands are included in a single sentence (multi-intent), remember previous conversations and connect to the next command to execute it (multi-turn), and ask questions and get answers about the device by speaking and receive them right away, making the voice control experience much more convenient.

For example, even if you say different commands at once, such as “Set the air conditioner to 26 degrees and finish the laundry by 5 p.m.,” it understands and carries out each command.

Also, if you say, “Tell me how much energy my washing machine saved this month,” and then say, “Oh, and what about my usage fee?”, it will understand both statements and give you an answer.

for example "If you ask questions about how to use the product, such as “How do I clean the washing machine?” or “How do I change the air conditioner filter?”, the product will immediately understand the user’s intention and provide instructions through voice. Also, if you have golf wear or baby clothes that require special care but don’t know how to wash them, you can ask questions through voice and receive recommendations for appropriate washing courses.

Therefore, consumers can easily obtain product-related information without having to search for a manual or contact a service center.

Products to which the new Bixby update will be applied are the Bespoke AI Family Hub Refrigerator, Bespoke AI Combo, Bespoke AI Steam, and Bespoke AI Wind-Free Gallery Air Conditioner released this year, and the list of applicable products will be expanded sequentially.

Users can create a customized image by selecting from seven themes including nature, flowers, events, and food, and six art styles including watercolor, oil painting, and illustration.
