Smart light switch, Bluetooth and Thread adoption, instant integration
All products NIPA support KC certification obtained, ensuring safety and reliability
WattsMatter, a dark horse in the smart home and smart building sectors, is taking a full-fledged leap forward as a ‘national smart home brand’ by introducing full-stack Matter solutions ranging from smart lighting to AI hubs.
At the '2025 Chungcheong Kyunghyang Housing Fair' (Cheongju Osong Convention Center, until the 15th), which opened on the 12th, Watts Matter unveiled its full lineup of intelligent homes based on the Matter standard.
This exhibition is garnering much attention from the industry as it demonstrates a ‘smart interior one-stop platform’ by gathering the largest number of domestic Matter support products in one place.
The highlight of the Wattsmatter booth is the smart lighting switch (1-4 holes) that was officially launched last month.
By adopting the Bluetooth/Thread dual protocol, it is possible to connect with major ecosystems such as Apple Home, Google Home, SmartThings, and Xiaomi Home without delay.
The electric curtain and electric blind motors to be released next month boast a low-noise design with noise levels of less than 35 dB.
In addition, about 10 types of products including downlights, LED drivers, mmWave occupancy sensors, door opening sensors, and Matter Hubs will be exhibited.; We implemented a total smart home scenario that includes lighting, shading, sensors, and hub.
All products have received KC certification with support from NIPA's 'Intelligent Home Service Verification and Expansion Project', ensuring safety and reliability.
Particularly noteworthy is the on-device AI Matter Hub.
Equipped with a small language model (sLM) developed by Wattsmatter, it processes voice commands without an Internet connection.
Users can control the device using Korean natural language, such as “open the curtains” or “turn the living room lights to 50% brightness,” highlighting the security and privacy benefits of local AI that does not go through a cloud server.
Matter, led by global big tech, has been growing explosively since its official announcement in October 2022, and is being called the 'USB of the smart home'.
Not only Samsung and LG, but also Apple, Google, and Amazon are joining, deepening the ecosystem.
The fact that there is no need to worry about compatibility between devices simply by checking the Matter certification logo is attractive to both consumers and construction companies.
Following the signing of a distribution agreement with Jemismart last year, Wattsmatter has expanded its pool of Matter devices by forming official sales partnerships with Hyman and Meros this month.
CEO Kim Hak-yong expressed his ambition, saying, “Starting with this exhibition, we will expand the market to include smart offices and smart stores and build a partner ecosystem that coexists with installation businesses.”
An event to commemorate the launch of new products will also be held at the exhibition site.
All items sold at Watts Matter's official mall 'Modus Home' are available at a limited discount of up to 35% during the exhibition period. You can find it at a % discounted price.
For consumers planning to install a smart home, this is a great opportunity to experience and purchase at the same time.
Industry experts predict that “Matter is likely to become a ‘must-have option’ in the domestic new apartment and remodeling market after 2025,” and that “companies that secure standard-based product lines like Watts Matter first will dominate the premium interior market.”
