A next-generation lifestyle computer combining versatility and high performance.
Dell Technologies has marked a significant turning point in its expansion into the gaming market with the launch of strategic products targeting a wide range of consumers, including gamers, creators, and everyday users.
Dell has unveiled two new laptop series, the Alienware Aurora, from its premium gaming brand Alienware, marking its full-fledged entry into the multi-purpose computer market that encompasses gaming, work, study, and entertainment.
The products unveiled this time are the Alienware 16 Aurora and the Alienware 16X Aurora, each comprised of an entry-level and high-performance model to meet the diverse needs of users.
The 'Alienware 16 Aurora' will begin taking pre-orders on Coupang from the end of August, and the 'Alienware 16X Aurora' will be officially released next month.
Dell is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Alienware brand this year by consolidating its portfolio into the premium Area-51 and mainstream Aurora, making it easier for consumers to choose products.
The 'Aurora' series is a versatile gaming laptop that combines a stylish design with powerful performance, making it perfect for both everyday use and gaming. It provides flexible usability that allows for free movement.
The new product is based on the 'AW30' design concept and maximizes the sci-fi sensibility through the 'Interstellar Indigo' color reminiscent of space, satin finish, and emblem lighting.
In particular, it is equipped with a 'Stealth Mode' function, which switches the keyboard backlight to the default white when the F7 key is pressed, and the low-noise mode reduces fan noise and extends battery life, maintaining optimal performance even in quiet environments.
It also stands out in terms of performance. The 'Alienware 16 Aurora' implements a 115W TPP based on an Intel Core i9 CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, and supports up to 32GB of memory and 2TB of storage.
The high-end model, 'Alienware 16X Aurora', is configured with an Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU, 155W TPP, 64GB of memory, and 4TB of storage, and supports a QHD+ display with a 240Hz high refresh rate and 500 nit brightness, a facial recognition FHD IR camera, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and Advanced Optimus technology.
Cooling technology has also been significantly enhanced. The Cryo-Chamber cooling system optimizes airflow and effectively dissipates heat through four exhaust vents, three copper heat pipes, dual ultra-thin blade fans, and an intake vent at the top of the keyboard, providing a quiet and comfortable gaming environment.
Its user-friendliness also stands out. The sleek curved design, soft palm rest, one-hand opening, and rear-facing input/output ports maximize portability and space utilization. Additionally, you can freely adjust game-specific profiles, lighting, macros, and audio settings through the 'Alienware Command Center'.
“The Alienware Aurora laptop is the first gaming laptop under the Aurora brand in about 20 years, and we wanted to expand our mainstream product line to provide consumers with a wider range of choices,” said Kim Kyung-jin, President and CEO of Dell Technologies Korea. “With its sophisticated design, innovative cooling technology, high-performance specifications, and various features such as stealth mode, it will establish itself as a lifestyle laptop that not only provides the best gaming experience, but is also suitable for everyday use.”
