'AI Mental Care' Service Utilizing Voice AI to Expand Full-Scale
Kering, Korea's largest senior care specialist, is partnering with global AI audio technology company Eleven Labs to significantly expand emotional care services for the elderly.
After adopting Eleven Labs' 'Agents Platform,' Kering is accelerating its expansion into domestic and international markets by launching 'AI Mind Care,' a voice-based emotional support service, in earnest.
As Korea rapidly enters a super-aged society, the shortage of care workers is intensifying.
To address these issues, Caring introduced the 'AI Mind Care' service, in which an AI calls and converses with the elderly during times when caregivers are not visiting.
It is a method that provides emotional stability not through simple automated responses, but through a voice AI equipped with a natural tone and emotional expressions that regularly asks about well-being and continues the conversation.
Caring highly praised the contribution of Eleven Labs' technology, stating, “Conversations provided by AI boost the self-esteem of the elderly and create an environment where caregivers can focus on more professional care.”
Caring, established in 2019, provides services to approximately 12,000 elderly people based on home care and day care centers.
Korea's largest senior care center, operating all 60 centers nationwide directly and possessing over 900 employees and a pool of 60,000 caregivers. It is a care company.
Kering has conducted two pilot projects since the end of last year. The first pilot achieved a call completion rate of 100%, a rejection rate of 0%, and an average call duration of 4 minutes and 22 seconds, while the second pilot recorded a total of 120 outgoing calls, a re-engagement rate of 100%, and exceeded the target time (5 minutes).
This result shows that conversation with AI can be naturally accepted in actual care settings, going beyond simple technology demonstrations.
The reason Kering selected Eleven Labs as a partner is due to technical strengths such as: △Korean TTS quality capable of natural pronunciation and emotional expression; △low-latency processing capability that responds seamlessly even to the slow speech of the elderly; △an agent platform structure that allows even non-developers to quickly create scenarios; △stability and consistent performance required in a healthcare environment; and △the potential for global service expansion through a multilingual expansion foundation.
Hong Sang-won, Branch Manager of 1ven Labs Korea, emphasized the significance of the collaboration with Kering, stating, “AI is filling the gaps in caregiving and contributing to the enhancement of human-like care.”
