Expanding Supply of Surge Protection Product Lines for Data and Power Infrastructure
Mouser Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with Transtector to supply a product family of data and power infrastructure protection products. Under this agreement, Mouser will provide products for responding to electrical transients to global customers.
Mouser announced on the 11th that it has signed a global distribution agreement with Transtector, an affiliate of Infinite Electronics. Transtector is a supplier of surge protection, power distribution, EMP filters, and NEMA equipment enclosures.
This product family is used to protect equipment from lightning strikes or transient voltages generated during internal switching processes. As the stable operation of network equipment and power facilities becomes increasingly important in industrial automation and communication infrastructure, the need for related protection devices is growing.
The DPR indoor data surge protection device supplied by Mouser is used in 10/100/1000 Base-T and Gigabit Ethernet/PoE++ network environments. The product is designed to protect data equipment by applying silicon avalanche suppression diode or gas discharge tube technology.
The ALPU series is an industrial Gigabit Ethernet and PoE++ surge protection device for outdoor data line applications. It can be applied to cameras, wireless equipment, and PoE-based systems, and supports pole mount and wall mount installation methods.
Power protection products include the DIN rail type I2R SPD and the panel-mount type APEX IMAX SPD. The I2R product family is UL1449 5th Revision certified and is available with SASD and MOV options. The APEX IMAX product family can be used in split-phase and three-phase power environments, and some models feature HEMP shielding.
The Transtector product family is used in industrial facilities, utilities, security, transportation, and telecommunications networks. Mouser provides related product information and technical documentation on its website.
