Development of industrial decision-making AI combined with graph ontologies
Sky Worldwide is partnering with Sungkyunkwan University to jointly develop agentic AI. The two parties plan to develop decision automation technology for industrial applications by combining graph ontology-based knowledge data modeling with an AI execution framework.
Sky Worldwide announced on the 13th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sungkyunkwan University’s Artificial Intelligence Innovation Convergence College Project Group (AICOSS) for the joint development of next-generation AI technology.
The agentic AI targeted by this agreement is a technology in which AI goes beyond the level of processing given information to make judgments and perform tasks based on goals. Both parties plan to enhance the usability of industrial data by combining this with graph ontology, which structures the relationships and meanings between data.
Under the agreement, Sky Worldwide provides agentic AI algorithms, execution frameworks, and graph ontology-based data modeling technology. Sungkyunkwan University’s AICOSS is responsible for algorithm advancement and research personnel cooperation based on its AI research capabilities and infrastructure.
Based on this, both parties will jointly develop an AI-based decision automation system and a data relationship analysis and recommendation engine. Following a Proof of Concept (PoC), it is planned to expand into an industry-oriented service model.
Kim Jae-hyun, Director of the AI Innovation Convergence College Project Group at Sungkyunkwan University, stated that this collaboration will serve as an industry-academia cooperation model for applying research results to industrial sites.
Shin Jae-hyuk, CEO of Sky Worldwide, stated that they would advance industrial AI infrastructure by combining graph ontology and agentic AI.
Sky Worldwide will host the 'SKAI AI Strategy Seminar 2026' in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, and Gwangju from the 18th to the 21st. The Seoul seminar is scheduled to take the form of a technology exchange meeting with the AI Innovation Convergence College Project Group at Sungkyunkwan University.
