Advanced analysis of abnormal QR authentication patterns, immediate provision of information on suspected forgery
Nemo Insight has strengthened its system to use AI to analyze abnormal data generated during the QR product authentication process and transmit suspected counterfeit indications to brand companies in real time.

Nemo Insight announced on the 21st that it has enhanced its AI-based real-time counterfeit tracking and reporting service. The core of this revamp is to enable brand clients to immediately verify relevant information and respond when authentication data suspected of being counterfeit is generated.

Nemo Insight has applied an AI anomaly detection engine based on over 3.6 million accumulated data points of brand-protected products. This engine analyzes abnormal QR authentication patterns, repeated duplicate scans in specific areas, and authentication flows that differ from typical distribution channels.

When a history suspected of being a counterfeit is identified, the system automatically classifies the relevant data and shares it with the brand company along with tracking information. Based on this, the brand company can review measures such as inspecting distribution channels, verifying sales outlets, and blocking illegal distribution.

The NEMOIN genuine product authentication service is a method in which consumers verify the authenticity of a product by scanning a variable QR code attached to the product with a smartphone camera without installing a separate app. Simultaneously with authentication, distribution-related data such as location, time, and scan history are collected and analyzed.

The product authentication market is shifting from a focus on physical labels to a data-driven monitoring system. With the expansion of online resale, parallel imports, and overseas distribution channels, brands are now in a situation where they must move beyond merely verifying the authenticity of products after the fact and identify early signs of anomalies in the distribution process.

In addition to product authentication, Nemo Insight provides features such as product introduction page integration, customer relationship management (CRM), marketing data collection, and online store building. According to the company, it has currently secured approximately 550 client companies across various industries, including fashion, cosmetics, and health functional foods.

AI-based authentication data analysis is expanding the competitive axis of brand protection technology from counterfeit detection to distribution data management. In the future, for genuine product authentication solutions, not only detection accuracy but also the scale of accumulated data and interoperability with corporate response systems are expected to become important evaluation criteria.
