SAP Korea is hosting 'SAP Connect Day' to share AI utilization strategies for purchasing, procurement, and finance organizations. As generative AI spreads across all business operations, this event covers AI innovation strategies for specific business areas, such as purchasing automation and autonomous finance.

The event will be held in Seoul on June 9 and 10. On the 9th, 'SAP Connect Day for Procurement' will take place at the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam for executives and managers in charge of purchasing and procurement, and on the 10th, 'SAP Connect Day for Finance' will be held at the L Tower for CFOs, financial planning, accounting, and management personnel.

This event focused on how AI can reduce the operational burden faced by corporate purchasing and finance organizations. Recently, companies have been facing a situation where they must increase performance with limited personnel and budgets while responding to rising costs, supply chain uncertainties, and regulatory changes. Accordingly, not only the automation of repetitive tasks but also the strengthening of data-driven decision-making and forecasting capabilities are emerging as major challenges.

In the purchasing session, AI-based operational models designed to simultaneously achieve cost reduction and supply chain resilience will be introduced. Forrester Advisor Lee Geon-ho will provide an overview of changes in the work environment driven by the proliferation of AI, while Sushant Jain, Head of Finance and Expense Management for SAP Asia Pacific, will present purchasing innovation in the era of autonomy and next-generation SAP Ariba-based purchasing strategies. Case studies of companies that have adopted SAP solutions will also be shared.

In the finance sector, autonomous finance is addressed as a key topic. General Manager Sushant Jain and Amit Verma, Head of Office Solutions Advisory for SAP Asia Pacific CFOs, present the direction for AI-based financial operations. Sangwon Ahn, Chief Financial Officer of SAP Korea, shares SAP's digital innovation experience and covers current issues for finance organizations, including key IFRS 18 issues, fund and cash liquidity management, group reporting, and ESG regulatory compliance.
