Expanding the Security and Resilience Agenda in Digital Economy Discussions
Kaspersky has joined the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) as an observer, becoming the first cybersecurity company to participate in the DCO. Kaspersky plans to strengthen the security foundation of the digital economy by sharing its experience in responding to cyber threats and capacity-building programs with member countries and partner organizations.

Kaspersky announced on the 28th that it has joined the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) as an observer. This participation was announced at the 5th DCO General Assembly held in Kuwait from February 4 to 5.

The Digital Economy Organization (DCO) is an international organization focused on the digital economy established in 2020. It currently has 16 member states and global institutions participating, and its main goals are economic growth and the expansion of social inclusion through digital technology.

Kaspersky's joining marks the first time a cybersecurity company has participated in DCO. With the proliferation of AI, cloud, and data-based services expanding the foundation of the digital economy while cyber threats become more complex, security capabilities are emerging as a key element in the digital transformation of nations and companies.

Based on approximately 30 years of experience in threat response, Kaspersky plans to share cybersecurity knowledge and capacity-building programs with member states and partner organizations. Through this, the company aims to enhance the safety of the digital ecosystem and contribute to reducing security gaps that may arise during the process of expanding access to technology.

Both sides will also promote knowledge-sharing platforms and joint initiatives to raise cybersecurity awareness and strengthen IT capabilities. This is expected to be linked to the agendas of digital economy growth, innovation, and empowerment of women and youth, which are key priorities of the DCO.

Yulija Sulychkova, Vice President of Global External Affairs at Kaspersky, stated that international cooperation is an important foundation for securing digital resilience and expressed her intention to contribute to creating a safer digital environment through cooperation with DCO.

Kaspersky operates security training programs for professionals, as well as hands-on training programs such as Kaspersky Academy and Kaspersky CTF. It also offers Cyber Capacity Building programs for employees of private and public institutions and university members.
