Up to 8GHz analysis bandwidth, dual receiver structure, 5G and radar verification support
Keysight Technologies has expanded its lineup of RF signal analyzers to address the broadband wireless design and verification equipment market. The new products are designed to analyze high-frequency and broadband signals in a single device, focusing on reducing the measurement burden during the development of 5G, millimeter-wave, and radar systems.

Keysight announced on the 9th that it has launched the professional-grade XA6 SA6320A and expert-grade XA5 SA6210A RF signal analyzers. Both products are designed to meet the verification demands arising from the expansion of wireless system bandwidth, increased frequency, and the proliferation of multi-antenna structures.

The XA6 SA6320A supports an analysis bandwidth of up to 8 GHz and a frequency range of up to 67 GHz. It can capture broadband signals at once, reducing repetitive measurements and enabling its use in analyzing high-frequency environments such as millimeter wave and radar.

This product is designed to identify spurious and interference signals based on full pre-selection capabilities and performance in Displayed Average Noise Level (DANL), phase noise, and Error Vector Magnitude (EVM). By applying GPU-accelerated demodulation, the measurement time for broadband 5G NR EVM was also reduced.

The XA5 SA6210A is designed for research and development, verification, and manufacturing test environments. It supports up to 32 GHz image-free sweep measurements and up to 2 GHz analysis bandwidth, and can be applied to 5G, wireless LAN (WLAN), ultra-wideband (UWB), radar, and pulse RF tests.

A dual receiver architecture has also been implemented. This enables 5G NR and WLAN MIMO measurements and Cross-Correlation Error Vector Magnitude (ccEVM) analysis to be performed on a single platform. It also features compatibility with existing X-series SCPI commands.

Choi Jun-ho, Executive Vice President of Key Product Management at Keysight, explained that wireless design and verification environments are shifting toward wider bandwidths, higher frequencies, and complex signal conditions, and that the XA6 and XA5 are products focused on increasing measurement speed and reliability in the design, debugging, and verification phases.

This product launch aligns with the growing demand for broadband RF signal analysis in 5G advancement, 6G research, next-generation radar, and satellite communications. In the measurement equipment industry, the ability to quickly identify factors causing signal quality degradation in the early stages of development is considered a key factor in shortening the development period of wireless systems.
