Expanding Experiments on Multi-Role Tasks by Assigning Employee IDs and Permissions to AI
SK Telecom is pursuing 'AX Innovation 2.0,' which utilizes AI agents as official business entities within the organization. The company plans to establish an organizational structure where employees and AI work together by assigning AI agents employee numbers, job roles, and authority, and expanding AI-based work redesign.
SK Telecom announced on the 16th that it is implementing 'AX Innovation 2.0' to strengthen the AI transformation (AX) environment for its employees. This strategy focuses on utilizing AI as a key agent for collaboration rather than a tool to assist with work, and on redesigning work methods and organizational operating systems around AI.
The core of this strategy is the expansion of the role of AI agents. The company plans to assign employee numbers, departments, job functions, and permissions to AI agents and establish an operating system that includes data access and security regulations.
In addition, by introducing 'AX Sandbox,' which redesigns existing work methods based on AI, the company is expanding a multi-role work style where members collaborate with various AI agents to perform tasks such as planning, development, and design.
SK Telecom plans to expand the application of AX Sandbox company-wide based on the results of a pilot operation conducted in some organizations of the AI CIC. The company explained that it confirmed the effects of shortening work planning periods and improving the speed of decision-making through this.
We are also pushing to strengthen the foundation for AI utilization. We plan to integrate in-house AI development platforms such as A. Biz, Polaris, and Playground, and link them with key business systems to enhance usability. At the same time, we will overhaul the security and governance frameworks necessary for operating AI agents.
In addition, the company plans to build a company-wide AI utilization culture by operating 'AX Catalyst' to support the spread of AI transformation across organizations, and by expanding practice-oriented training programs and case sharing systems.
SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-heon presented the direction of AX Innovation 2.0 at the recent '2026 New Icheon Forum' and announced that he would pursue business innovation and organizational productivity improvement based on AI.
