Connect to data from external tools and applications, and directly generate deliverables such as documents and reports
Databricks has unveiled 'Genie One,' an AI agent that helps business teams in marketing, finance, and sales automate and coordinate tasks based on real corporate data. Genie One is part of Databricks' AI product family, 'Genie,' which transforms business data into answers and actions.
Databricks announced on the 17th that it has officially launched Genie One.
Genie One operates based on data regardless of whether it is structured or unstructured, analytical or operational, or internal or external to Databricks, and is available on the web, iOS, and Android.
The company explained that unlike the first generation Genie, which was limited to interactive analysis of data stored in Databricks, Genie One can connect to data from external tools and applications and directly generate results such as documents and reports.
At the heart of the Genie product family is 'Genie Ontology,' a knowledge network derived from data, documents, content, and apps within an organization.
Genie Ontology is a context layer that automatically extracts and continuously updates business knowledge not only from data in the Databricks environment but also from across integrated business applications such as files, tickets, chats, and meetings.
It is reported that this allows for searching for answers and executing follow-up actions from governance-secured data instead of making guesses based on incomplete context, thereby increasing accuracy and reducing latency and costs.
Databricks co-founder and CEO Ali Godsh said, "Genie Ontology continuously learns context from data everywhere to provide more accurate and faster answers, and this is the difference between a simple AI chatbot and a business-aware AI agent."
In addition to Genie One, △ Genie Agents that store all Genie conversations as reusable agents △ building apps connected to governance-assured data Genie App Builder, Genie Code which supports data engineering and analysis workflows, and Genie ZeroOps, a background agent that monitors data and AI assets, are provided together.
Genie connects with over 50 apps and data systems, including Google Drive, Jira, and Slack, and all functions operate within the permission and access control system of the Unity Catalog.
Genie does not have a user-based pricing plan, and businesses receive up to $10 in free credit per user per month, paying only for actual usage.
Genie One, Genie Agent, and Genie Code have been officially launched, while Genie App Builder and Genie ZeroOps are scheduled to enter private preview immediately after the Data + AI Summit concludes.
