Discussion on Implementing Proactive Healthcare with Partners at 'VivaTech 2026'

Samsung Electronics unveiled its healthcare vision 'Connected Care,' based on open collaboration, and discussed ways to implement proactive and daily health management with partners. The plan is to shift the direction of healthcare from a reactive approach of treating diseases after they occur to a prevention-centered approach.

Samsung Electronics announced on the 22nd that it held a panel discussion on the topic of connected care at 'VivaTech 2026,' a startup and tech exhibition held in Paris, France, on the 19th (local time).

The discussion was attended by Park Heon-soo, Head of Digital Health at Samsung Electronics MX Business Division, David Lee, Head of Samsung Next Center, and the CEOs of Xealth, Generation Lab, and SiPhox Health, with approximately 1,000 people present.

Team Leader Park Heon-soo explained Samsung Electronics' customer-based ecosystem, citing Galaxy users, 77 million Samsung Health users, and over 460 million SmartThings subscribers as examples.

The number of Samsung Health users is based on global monthly active users (MAU) in April, and SmartThings subscribers are based on May 2026.

Samsung Electronics stated that it has secured customer touchpoints and partnerships based on a variety of devices ranging from semiconductors to mobile phones, wearables, home appliances, and TVs.

They explained that they are implementing connected care by collaborating with companies such as Zels, Generation Lab, and Cyfox Health to connect each company's solutions with Samsung devices.

David Lee, the center director who moderated the event, stated, “The future of health cannot be built by the efforts of a single company alone,” adding, “It can be created through an ecosystem of innovation and collaboration among various companies.”

In the discussion, the software development tool for developers, 'Samsung Health Software Development Kit Suite'uo; was introduced.

Samsung Electronics stated that developers can utilize this to develop healthcare services that apply sensor technology and health platforms.

'Knox,' a security solution designed to protect sensitive health information, was also introduced.

Knox is applied from mobile devices to home appliances and TVs.

Regarding healthcare in the future AI era, Team Leader Park stated, “An AI-based connected ecosystem will become a daily companion to help individuals achieve their health goals.”
