Gurugram Installs Over 3,000 System Air Conditioners in 300 Units at 'The Orchard'
Samsung Electronics is setting out to target the global HVAC market by supplying high-efficiency HVAC solutions to ultra-premium residential complexes in India. The plan is to expand the HVAC business, which has been centered on commercial buildings, into the premium residential market and solidify its position as an AI home solution provider.
Samsung Electronics announced on the 22nd that it is supplying air conditioning solutions to 'The Orchard' complex, currently under construction in Gurugram, a hub for the IT industry, in collaboration with the Indian real estate developer Central Park.
This project involves installing approximately 3,000 residential system air conditioners in 300 households, and move-in is scheduled to begin early next year.
Gurugram is a satellite city located about 30 km south of New Delhi and is an industrial hub where major startups and global IT companies have established a presence.
The company explained that there is high demand for high-efficiency air conditioning solutions because the area has a high concentration of high-income residents and summer temperatures exceed 45℃.
This project utilizes the 'DVM S2' large-scale system air conditioner outdoor unit, which connects multiple indoor units to a single outdoor unit, and the 'Windless 1-Way Ceiling Cassette' for home use.
The DVM S2 can connect up to 64 indoor units to a single outdoor unit.
It was announced that by applying a high-strength frame, the structural stability of internal core components has been increased by up to 210% compared to existing ones, and operational reliability has been secured even in a strong earthquake environment of magnitude 9 through a low-vibration design.
AI-based control functions include 'AI Rapid Cooling,' which learns driving patterns to cool quickly; 'AI Energy Saving,' which analyzes sensor information to reduce power consumption by approximately 15%; and 'AI Real-time Refrigerant Leak Detection,' which detects refrigerant leaks in real time.
The Windless 1-Way Ceiling Cassette provides cooling without direct drafts, and its compact form factor of 135mm in height maximizes space efficiency. raised.
It is equipped with a 'PM 1.0 filter' that removes ultrafine dust and sterilizes 99% of harmful bacteria.
When connected to SmartThings, you can manage the temperature, humidity, and air quality of each room using a mobile device, and monitor power consumption with 'AI Save Mode'.
“We will solidify our leadership in the global premium residential market through Samsung Electronics’ HVAC technology competitiveness and solutions tailored to local lifestyles,” said Lim Sung-taek, Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ DA Business Division.
