First MCP Introduction in Korea's OVP, Video Integration and Statistics Check via Natural Language Commands Without Manual Search
A method is being introduced for the first time in the domestic online video platform (OVP) industry that allows developers to obtain code and statistics by asking questions in a conversational manner within their usual AI development environment, without having to search through guide documents or API specifications one by one.
Catenoid (CEO Kim Hyung-seok), a Video Technology as a Service (VTaaS) company, beta-launched 'Kolrus MCP (Model Context Protocol),' an AI integration technology that links video infrastructure using only natural language commands, on the 22nd.
MCP is a technology standard being adopted by global companies that connects AI development tools, such as Claude Code and Cursor, to directly understand and utilize a company's system infrastructure and documents.
If you input requests into Kollus MCP such as "Please create code to embed a web player as an iframe" or "Please tell me the top 5 most viewed contents yesterday," it generates source code based on Kollus's official verification data and provides summarized statistics.
Catenoid explained that an intern with almost no development experience built a full-stack video app, complete with everything from an iOS app to a backend server, in just three days using Kollus MCP.
<bPractical developers can use it immediately by simply registering the official MCP server address provided by Kollus in the Claude Desktop or cursor editor settings.
The company stated that Kollus MCP is designed to reduce concerns about information leakage by managing authentication information or security keys required for integration only within the user environment, rather than storing them on the Catenoid server.
In addition, an 'anti-pattern guide' designed based on Catenoid's technical support know-how has been applied.
If a developer attempts to write code that causes system overload or use APIs scheduled for discontinuation, the AI detects this in advance and ensures that the correct architecture guide is checked before the code is completed, thereby preventing service failures in the early stages of integration.
In addition to Kollus MCP, Catenoid has expanded its AI capabilities, including Kollus AI Subtitles and Summary/Chapter, which provides subtitles and segment summaries based on speech recognition, and Loomex, which automates media asset classification and search.
In July, we plan to introduce a beta version of the 'Self Sign-up' feature, which allows one-person businesses or small operators without developers to implement video services.
Early next year, we plan to expand the scope of MCP support so that Kollus can be utilized in AI environments used by general business personnel, such as web-based Clod or ChatGPT.
