The government highlighted the potential for industrial application of K-AI by showcasing these use cases.

On the 22nd, the Ministry of Science and ICT announced AI application cases from major companies through the 'Our Korean-style Artificial Intelligence (K-AI) Model is Unfolding in the Field' series.

This presentation introduced the application of AI in various fields, including healthcare, manufacturing, defense, and semiconductors.

LG AI Research Institute is pursuing the development of 'Cancer Agentic AI' in collaboration with the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the United States. This system is structured to support medical decision-making, including cancer tissue analysis, genetic information verification, and the design of treatment strategies.

NC AI is collaborating with Hanwha Ocean to apply physical AI for the automation of shipyard welding processes.

It is a method that predicts welding quality and automatically optimizes working conditions based on smart yard data.

SK Telecom is pursuing the development of defense-specialized AI based on its own AI models, such as AX K1, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Defense. It aims for AI transformation (AX) through the utilization of military data.

Motif Technologies plans to collaborate with semiconductor company Pado to apply AI to the entire design process, including circuit design, layout and wiring optimization, and power efficiency improvement.

This case demonstrates the trend of AI moving beyond simple data analysis to being applied to actual industrial processes and decision-making.

Particularly in the medical field, a method was proposed to support the entire cancer treatment process through a multi-AI collaboration structure.

In the shipbuilding industry, work automation and quality improvement emerged as the main directions of application, while in the defense sector, data-driven decision support was identified.

In addition, design automation and efficiency improvements utilizing AI are being pursued in the semiconductor design field.

The government explained that through these examples, the scope of utilization of domestic AI models in industrial settings is expanding.
