The Korea Electronics and Technology Institute (KETI) has developed and begun a demonstration of the "Multi-Persona Career Counseling Agent System," which applies AI personality-forming technology to the field of youth career counseling. This marks the first practical application of the personality-forming agent technology, developed by researchers at the Center for Autonomous Intelligent Systems, to career counseling.

KETI announced on the 24th that it held a 'Multi-Persona Career Counseling Agent Demonstration Meeting' at the Seoul Metropolitan Seongbuk Youth Center on the 15th and demonstrated the system.

Officials from Upstage, Camto Co., Ltd., and the Seoul Metropolitan Seongbuk Youth Center attended the meeting to discuss ways to expand the application of the system to career counseling sites.

The agent consists of four types of character personas that differ in appearance, voice, conversation style, and personality traits.

Users, including adolescents, can select a character suitable for them and interactively explore career concerns.

KETI explained that this multi-persona technology is designed to support the formation of trust between the user and the system during the counseling process, and to increase counseling engagement and service effectiveness.

This system links career profile data provided by Camto Co., Ltd. with a large-scale language model developed by Upstage.
KETI stated that through this, it provides counseling tailored to each user's tendencies and interests.

KETI will continue the demonstration at the Seoul Metropolitan Seongbuk Youth Center until the end of August this year.

Anyone visiting the center during the specified period can experience the system.

KETI explained that this demonstration is an example of securing use cases by applying domestic AI technology to youth career counseling and showing the potential for the expansion of sovereign AI-based services in the public service sector.

Lee Sang-shin, Head of the Autonomous Intelligent Systems Research Center at KETI, said, “The system unveiled this time will help students resolve their career concerns more effectively,” adding, “We will further advance the technology so that AI developed with domestic technology can be spread to a wider range of public service sectors.”

This technology was developed with support from the project 'Development of Agent Platform Technology Capable of Personality Formation' under the 'Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Core Source Technology Development' program of the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Institute of Information and Communication Technology Planning and Evaluation (IITP).
