LG Electronics has unveiled a new cleaning robot equipped with 100°C steam functions on both the main body and the station. It is designed to handle floor cleaning and mop hygiene maintenance with a single product and consists of two station lineups that can be selected to suit residential spaces.

LG Electronics announced on the 29th that it will sequentially launch the 'LG Homebot AI Objet Collection RONi' (hereinafter RONi) starting July 2.

Ronnie is divided into two types: the automatic water supply and drainage type 'Hidden Station', which is installed in the baseboard space under the kitchen sink, and the water tank type 'Objet Station', which can be placed independently anywhere in the house. The shipping price for both models is 2.19 million won.

The Hidden Station has a height of 15cm, so it can be installed directly in the existing baseboard space without the need for a separate base cabinet.

The Objet Station is designed in the form of a side table, allowing it to be placed in various spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms, and features ergonomically designed height, handle thickness, and water bottle pull-out height.

For both models, the front door of the station closes automatically after cleaning, so the device is not exposed to the outside.

In recognition of this design perfection, Ronnie won the 'Best of Best' award at the '2025 Ergonomics Design Award' organized by the Korean Ergonomics Society.

In terms of cleaning performance, it is equipped with 30W suction power and a mop with 180 rotations per minute (180rpm).

LG Electronics stated that during cleaning, 100°C steam is sprayed onto the mop to remove floor dirt, and after cleaning, the mop is washed with steam and hot water at the station to remove 99.99% of four types of harmful bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli.

After washing, hot air drying reduces odor-causing substances by up to 97%, and the patented 'Station Conditioning' technology expels internal moisture through an exhaust fan.

Ronnie also distinguishes over 120 types of objects, such as wires, flowerpots, and pet waste, using AI object recognition technology and 8 sensors, and automatically adjusts suction power and driving mode according to space, such as the living room, kitchen, and bedroom.

In terms of security, it encrypts collected data by incorporating its proprietary security system 'LG Shield' and has received 'Privacy by Design' approval from the Personal Information Protection Commission.Received 'ign, PbD)' certification.
