SAP has appointed Verena Siow as the new president to oversee the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.


New Chairman Sio has about 30 years of experience in the technology industry and will lead business operations across the Asia-Pacific region, including Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, India, Greater China, and Southeast Asia, based in Singapore.

Through this appointment, he is expected to be responsible for customer support and business expansion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Chairman Sio is regarded as a business leader who has focused on cloud growth and the end-to-end customer value journey.

Manos Raptopoulos, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for SAP Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and Central and Eastern Europe (MEE), stated, “Chairman Verena Sio possesses a deep understanding of the Asia Pacific market and a firm belief in customer success,” adding that “she is the right person to lead the business in the Asia Pacific region, a key growth market.”

Chairman Sio said, “Data, processes, and people "SAP's vision for a seamlessly connected Autonomous Enterprise will bring tangible results to customers seeking to reshape their businesses in the AI era," he said.

SAP currently has more than 50,000 employees in 46 offices and SAP Labs in the Asia-Pacific region.

Asia-Pacific clients include Hyundai Motor, NEC Corporation, Coles Group, Wipro, Alibaba Group, Fujitsu Limited, Fonterra, and Asian Paints.
