Connect project stakeholders and workflows across all stages of the construction lifecycle Autodesk unveiled its next-generation cloud service BIM 360 platform that more seamlessly connects the construction project lifecycle at the 25th Autodesk University held in Las Vegas, USA.
In addition, we launched Connect and Construct Exchange, a BIM 360 integration partner program that integrates third-party software applications and data into the BIM 360 construction workflow, with over 50 official BIM 360 integration partners.
The next generation BIM 360, built on the Autodesk Forge platform, centralizes all project-related data in one place to help you make informed decisions throughout the construction project lifecycle. Autodesk Forge is a connected developer cloud platform that helps users and partners create scalable, custom solutions for engineering, construction, and manufacturing.
BIM 360 connects project stakeholders and workflows across all phases of the building lifecycle, from design through construction and operations, in the field and in the office. It also removes uncertainty from construction projects by connecting project management tools and databases with machine learning analytics and insights. This enables project teams to collaborate more closely, share changes more easily, and achieve improved profitability through improved data continuity.

“As construction projects become more complex, Autodesk is introducing BIM 360 as a solution to create a more streamlined and safer construction work environment,” said Andrew Anagnost, CEO, Autodesk. “With the proliferation of applications creating confusion in the construction industry, managing all project data on a single cloud platform will enable more predictable project outcomes.”
The next-generation BIM 360 platform was developed in collaboration with Autodesk and 500 construction professionals from 100 companies who participated in the development of our software. Autodesk BIM 360 solutions currently accommodate approximately 4 million models, and BIM 360 customers have recorded 200 million field-related comments.
BIM 360 connects fragmented workflows from pre-construction through execution, fabrication, installation and facility management. With over 40 of the 50+ BIM 360 integrated partners offering services, this new partner program has implications for each phase of construction. The goal of the new partner program is to provide customers and contractors with a range of solutions that can enhance and extend their workflows to meet their construction needs by reflecting the awareness of applications and integrations into the next generation BIM 360 platform.
“Rhumbix is software that helps construction project teams manage timekeeping, quantity tracking, and other key tasks from their mobile devices,” says Jack Skill, CEO of Rhumbix. “Integrating with BIM 360 helps track every process on the construction site and communicate results back to headquarters and field managers.”
