LG Electronics has officially launched the robot vacuum cleaner 'Cord Zero R9 ThinQ' in the domestic market, setting a new standard for premium robot vacuum cleaners.

LG Electronics' CordZero R9 ThinQ (model name: R958DA, R958RA) is equipped with smarter artificial intelligence, powerful cleaning performance, and various convenient functions designed for customers.

The new product has become more sophisticated in its ability to perceive indoor structures on its own and learn the types of obstacles. Equipped with high-performance sensors including '3D Dual Eye' and proprietary artificial intelligence platform 'DeepThinQ', it learns the structure of the house on its own and distinguishes between obstacles to pass over and those to wait for or bypass, allowing it to clean more intelligently.

'3D Dual Eye' has significantly improved driving performance with '3D View' that recognizes objects within a wide-angle range of up to 160 degrees and helps the car distinguish spaces in the house, and '3D Sensor' that can even avoid thin chair legs.

The new product is equipped with an 'AI Smart Turbo' that automatically identifies carpets, corners, and dusty areas to increase suction power and automatically adjusts the brush and driving speed depending on the situation.

The 'AI My Zone' function, which cleans only the areas that the customer wants, such as the bedroom, living room, and kitchen, is also possible because the new product can accurately recognize the space based on DeepThinQ.

The new product implements powerful cleaning performance by applying many of the core components used in the 'LG Cord Zero' series of premium cordless vacuum cleaners recognized in the market.

LG Electronics applied the 'Smart Inverter Motor P9' of Code Zero A9 to its new product. As for the characteristics of autonomous robot vacuum cleaners, the performance is evaluated based on how long they can move around the house and clean thoroughly. It is significant that LG Electronics applied the high-performance motor of the Cord Zero A9 to its new product, realizing not only a cleaning time of up to 90 minutes but also powerful cleaning performance.

LG Electronics, based on its confidence in its core component technology, is the first in the industry to offer a 10-year free warranty on inverter motors installed in home appliances.

LG Electronics also applied the 'Dual Turbo Cyclone (Axial Turbo Cyclone™)', which was well-received in the Code Zero series, to the new product. It is considered one of the key technologies that a premium vacuum cleaner must have because it maintains strong suction power even after the customer uses the vacuum cleaner for a long time.

The 'Multi-Power Drive' located at the front of the product helps the brush rotate up to 1,300 times per minute to effectively suck up floor dust. The square design is also advantageous in sucking up dust in corners. It also has 'Anti-tangle' technology that prevents hair, animal fur, etc. from getting tangled.

LG Electronics applied a '5-step fine dust blocking system' to its new product to prevent dust sucked by the vacuum cleaner from being released outside. The new product can block 99.9% of ultrafine dust particles, including PM2.5 (dust with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers; 1㎛ is one millionth of a meter), and has been recognized for its fine dust blocking and allergy-inducing substance removal performance by the German internationally accredited testing agency SLG (Schubert Leiter Geratesicherheit) and the British Allergy Foundation (BAF).

Also useful are the 'Home View' function, which allows customers to monitor their homes in real time or control products remotely using their smartphones, and the 'Home Guard' function, which allows the vacuum cleaner to detect movement in the home and send photos to the customer's smartphone.

It is also possible to voice control the product using a smartphone-only application or an artificial intelligence speaker, including LG Electronics' 'ThinQ Hub'.

The new product comes in two colors, dark silver and bohemian red, and is priced at 1.49 million won based on the factory price.
