Merck Korea's Ansan site, which has established itself as a key hub in the semiconductor materials supply chain, shared its business direction for the future semiconductor industry to mark its 40th anniversary. The site stated that it has accumulated technological capabilities in the semiconductor gas and chemical sectors since its establishment in 1986 and has continued to operate a stable supply chain and contribute to the local community.

Merck Korea announced on the 1st that it held a ceremony commemorating its 40th anniversary at its Ansan site.

The event was attended by Ansan City Vice Mayor Heo Nam-seok, Merck Korea CEO Kim Woo-kyu, Merck Electronics Global Equipment Cluster General Manager Rob Mortensen, Merck Korea Chief Safety Officer Lee Kyung-jae, and Ansan Site Director Kim Sang-yeop.

The Ansan site plays the role of stably supplying special gases and chemicals required for the semiconductor manufacturing process to client companies.

It also supports related infrastructure through the Equipment, Delivery Systems and Services (DS&S) division.

Merck Korea explained that it has received numerous government awards for its exemplary business operations, including safety management and diligent tax payment, over the past 40 years.

Merck Korea stated that the Ansan site has continued social responsibility activities for the local community alongside business operations.

This ceremony served as an opportunity to reaffirm the cooperative relationship with Ansan City and to share the plan to focus on strengthening the stability of the supply chain within the semiconductor industry in the future.
