Park Systems Atomic Force Microscope Commercialization Success Introduction
Sangjun Cho, Managing Director of Park Systems, Webinar, August 10
“Advanced research equipment is the key to opening the future of next-generation science and technology. “Research equipment needs to be re-recognized as an industry because it has a large ripple effect.”
On August 10, e4ds news held an e4ds webinar to present ‘The reality and importance of the Korean research equipment industry and success stories of atomic force microscopes.’
This announcement will be made by Sangjun Cho, Managing Director of Park Systems.
Cutting-edge research equipment serves as a key source of securing world-class research competitiveness.
Japan has won many Nobel Prizes for the development and advancement of research equipment, including 85% of Japanese Nobel Prizes in science for the development of analytical equipment and advancement of basic technologies, and five Nobel Prizes for MRI technology.
In particular, the research equipment industry is led by three countries: the United States, Japan, and Germany, and the top five countries of the United States, Germany, Japan, China, and the United Kingdom account for more than 50% of the global research equipment market.
On the other hand, in the case of our country, more than 90% of cutting-edge research equipment is imported, and the share of domestically produced equipment is increasing significantly, falling from 20.4% in 2011 to 9.5% in 2016.
Accordingly, this webinar will present a strategy to foster the Korean research equipment industry.
In addition, we plan to introduce Park Systems, the only atomic force microscope manufacturer in Korea, and present success stories of the Korean research equipment industry.
Atomic force microscopes are being used as devices and systems to enable new applications, particularly in the semiconductor industry, and are also being widely used in the biomedical field.
Readers interested in the reality of the research equipment industry and atomic force microscopes are encouraged to attend the e4ds webinar on August 10th at 10:30 AM.
