Inside, there will be 90 dormitory rooms, 4 guesthouse rooms, a restaurant, a daycare center, a gym, and other employee welfare facilities, which are expected to greatly contribute to improving the research environment for employees.

Director Lee Jeong-hwan of the Materials Research Institute said, “As the old and worn-out building tells us with its long history of 39 years, “It is a building that embodies the youth and passion of our researchers who have silently protected it for many years,” he said. “I sincerely hope that the Mirae Hall, reborn with a new look, will repeat that history and become a new space that contains the dreams and passion of new researchers, and that it will produce excellent research results in the future.”
