Obtained Hohenstein antibacterial performance certification

Twinwiz Co., Ltd. (CEO Changsoo Kim), a research institute company of the Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), has strengthened its global market competitiveness by obtaining global certification.
Twinwiz announced on the 4th that it had received antibacterial performance certification from Hohenstein, a global testing and certification agency in Germany.
This is an important achievement that proves that the liquid antibacterial material developed by Twinwiz Co., Ltd. is an internationally trusted product.
Hohenstein is a leading European testing and hygiene expert, boasting a high level of reliability in ISO 18184 (antiviral) and ISO 22196 (antibacterial) testing.
Major domestic companies such as Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, and POSCO have also obtained this certification, so Twinwiz's acquisition of the certification is expected to be an opportunity to strengthen its competitiveness in the global market.
In this test, Twinwiz Co., Ltd. demonstrated excellent antibacterial effects against two strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli in accordance with the ISO 22196 (antibacterial) standard.
The liquid antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal material developed through this method can be applied to various industrial materials such as paints, resins, inks, and latex, and its special feature is that it can provide antibacterial functions without changing the color, appearance, or properties of the product.
Twinwiz Co., Ltd. is collaborating with major domestic companies to develop UV and heat curable coatings. We are developing various high-functional products such as tinting liquid, water-based and oil-based paints, functional films, and paper coating films for food packaging. We were also selected as a K-water cooperative startup supported by the Korea Water Resources Corporation, and are also accelerating research on eco-friendly antibacterial materials.
“This Hohenstein certification will be an important stepping stone for entering the global market,” said Sim Han-soo, head of Twinwiz Research Institute. “We will provide greater value to our customers through the development of sustainable antibacterial technology.”
