Industry Technology Trends· Introduction of Keysight Solutions
25 technical sessions, 16 exhibition booths
"The industry's only open-LAN end-to-end solution"
Keysight Korea successfully concluded Keysight World, which was held on the topics of 5G/6G, automotive, and HSD.
Keysight Korea held 'Keysight World: Tech Day 2023' for the first time in three years at the L Tower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, and held a press conference to introduce the latest technology trends and Keysight solutions.
▲Keysight Korea President Lee Seon-woo “Various innovations in the fields of communications, high-speed digital, automotive, and quantum computing are being born in Korea and spreading around the world,” said Lee Sun-woo, president of Keysight Korea. “We are honored to help domestic companies and engineers succeed through Keysight’s solutions, expertise, and collaboration with customers.”
Every year, new technologies emerge, forcing companies to change their industry. As we pioneer new markets that go beyond standards, it is important to achieve innovation based on cutting-edge technologies through collaboration between ideas, technologies, solutions, and partners.
At this event, Keysight introduced industry stakeholders to the latest technology trends and Keysight's solution-based engineering success stories that can solve technical challenges across industries, and presented demos.
Industry leaders, subject matter experts, and technology experts shared their insights on new technologies through keynote speeches, technical sessions, and exhibition booths. Speakers included invited lectures by experts from the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, the Korea Automobile Research Institute, and IPG Automotive.
■ Keysight World’s 3 Main Tracks The 'Keysight World: Tech Day 2023' event, held for the first time in three years since the COVID-19 outbreak, was crowded with many visitors.
The event was divided into three tracks: 5G/6G communications, automotive, and HSD.
Keysight is a global leader in 5G, with all of the top 25 telecommunications carriers and service providers using Keysight’s 5G test platforms.
Keysight also covered 6G response measures this year. While 5G continues to evolve with standard updates, research is also being conducted on 6G, which is expected to be commercialized in 2030. Keysight demonstrated the latest technology trends, related technology standard updates, and the latest measurement solution demos to wireless communication engineers.
In recent 5G/6G communications, the main keywords are spectrum research including the upper-mid band and development of Open RAN technology. OpenLAN is an 'open wireless access network' technology that separates mobile communication equipment such as wireless base stations from software, standardizes the interfaces required for equipment connection, and interconnects equipment from different manufacturers.
Keysight provides verification solutions for compatibility with third-party OpenLAN equipment.
“Our OpenRAN solution portfolio validates networks by simulating applications running on thousands of devices that generate 4G and 5G NR traffic and operate voice and data sessions,” said Lee Sun-woo, CEO of Keysight Technologies, on the day. “Keysight is the only company with an end-to-end solution for OpenRAN.”

The topics of the automotive track include electric vehicles, autonomous driving, batteries, and security. Keysight discussed the various technical elements required to realize core autonomous driving technologies and also introduced topics related to the development of electric vehicles.
Keysight’s V2X test suite is the most comprehensive and reliable in the market. Keysight's hardware, software and services offerings for V2X testing are built on a solid foundation.
Designed for the V2X needs of the automotive industry and infrastructure manufacturers, Keysight Nordsys WaveBee systems include development platforms, onboard units, roadside units (ITS stations), simulation, visualization, and analytics.
The HSD (High-Speed Digital) track provides an overview of the overall technology trends in high-speed digital applications evolving to meet the demands for faster data processing speeds, the latest specification updates for interface standards, and explanations of test challenges and verification methods.
With PCIe® 5.0 supporting 32 GT/s operation, a seamless and robust solution is needed to capture and emulate traffic on the link. Keysight demonstrated the Keysight PCI Express P5551A exerciser and P5552A analyzer Gen 5.0 protocol test tools, which provide emulation and packet decoding up to 32 GT/s at x4, x8 and x16 lane widths.
We also demonstrated Tx testing for Gen 6.0 using the Keysight UXR oscilloscope. Customers can emulate and analyze PCIe signals to accelerate system design and debug at the physical and protocol layers.
