| Reduce operating costs by leveraging off-the-shelf IoT devices
| Provides better space utilization visibility and predictability
Optimizing shared office space and improving employee understanding Arm announced 'Space Analytics', part of its 'Arm Pelion Smart Spaces' solution, on the 23rd.

Arm Announces Space Analytics
Space Analytics is a solution for managers of hotels, co-working spaces, and commercial buildings, helping them understand when, where, and how their building space is being utilized.
Commercial building managers must maximize revenue per square foot and provide maximum convenience to occupants, and IoT provides the insights needed to optimize space utilization, including space occupancy, resource trends, and traffic patterns.
Asset managers can leverage physical data insights from the IoT to design energy-efficient and profitable spaces, while improving employee safety, productivity, and engagement.
Based on Arm's Pelion IoT Platform, Space Analytics securely collects and analyzes data from a variety of off-the-shelf IoT devices, including smart lights, sensors, locks, IP cameras, and badge readers, to deliver actionable insights and predict space availability.

The solution's machine learning capabilities enable Arm to provide valuable data insights into space and resource utilization, helping to increase efficiency and maximize revenue.
Property managers can leverage these data insights to offer clients discounted rates during off-peak hours or suggest the closest optimal workspace. This can also reduce operating costs related to electricity, cleaning, and lighting.
This solution, when used in conjunction with Arm's Indoor Lighting solution, can also be used to customize indoor lighting based on user preferences.
Space analytics can also provide value to the coworking space market.
In Europe, it is projected that 255 million square feet (ft2) of commercial property will be used as coworking spaces in 2019.
This phenomenon is interpreted as being due to the increase in one-person businesses and startups seeking flexibility and cost reduction in workspaces.
Ireland's Dogpatch Labs has decided to integrate Space Analytics into its startup hub in Dublin's Docklands.
Dogpatch Labs is implementing this solution to improve space management across its facilities. This will enable Dogpatch Labs to optimize space and improve utilization for its community of approximately 400 entrepreneurs.
Arm's indoor lighting solutions enable rapid deployment, remote control, and security of intelligent lighting controls that reduce maintenance costs and save energy. Arm is already building the solution at its headquarters in Cambridge.
Space Analytics and Indoor Lighting solutions are available now and can be purchased separately or together.
“The Pelion Smart Spaces solution provides enterprises with a secure and scalable way to easily gain actionable insights, leverage any device, and rapidly absorb new capabilities from Arm’s vast ecosystem of application partners,” said Dave Weidner, senior director of Pelion Market Development at Arm.
