Generation Robot Human 2.0 eBook Released

Mouser Electronics, in collaboration with renowned engineer Grant Imahara, has released Human 2.0, the latest eBook in Mouser’s Empowering Innovation Together series, Generation Robot.

With a foreword by Grant Imahara, Human 2.0 covers fascinating topics such as robotics for wound healing, sensor technology for prosthetics, and the development of electronic skin that can heal itself and act like human skin. A separate section is devoted to the brains and neurons that control robotic exoskeletons and limbs, looking at the myriad challenges facing this technology. It also includes an article on recent advances in making the interfaces needed for brain and neuron control a reality.

“Generation Robot’s latest eBook features essays from industry leaders on recent achievements and potential advancements in robotics-enabled augmented human technologies,” said Kevin Hess, Mouser’s senior vice president of marketing. “Our previous eBook explored the possibilities of human-robot collaboration. In this issue, we explore the potential benefits of directly integrating robotic components into humans," he added.

In five episodes produced worldwide, Generation Robots, Imahara will take a close look at the engineers, companies, and machines that are changing the way we interact with and interact with robots. From the theory of robotics to how they can be used in the real world, as in science fiction, to how we navigate a world of humans and robots alike, he will cover everything about robotics. Generation Robots is sponsored by Mouser’s key suppliers Analog Devices, Intel, Microchip Technology, and Molex.

Since its inception in 2015, the Innovation Through Collaboration series has explored a range of projects, from 3D printing in space to the benefits of technology that will make cities smarter. In 2018, Mouser’s goal for the Innovation Through Collaboration series is to connect with more innovators from around the world and focus on how robots are impacting humanity.
