■ Introduction to the Hanbaeumjigi Society
Established in 1995, Hanbaeumjigi is a specialized academic society of Hanyang University ERICA Department of Electronic Engineering that has won awards in various fields through systematic work focusing on artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
In addition to academic activities, we also actively promote social activities such as MTs and sports competitions.
■ Benefits of the Hanbaeumjigi Academic Society
The advantage of Hanbaeumjigi is that it is a society where people are like friends.
When we think of an academic society, we often think of a formalized group or gathering that mainly conducts academic activities and research.
On the other hand, as can be seen from the slogan of Hanbaeumjigi, ‘Let’s play together and learn together,’ it is a society created with the meaning of having fun together like friends, so it is comfortable. You can enjoy it.
We do not force participation and we refrain from actions such as giving others the benefit of the doubt by joining together with other societies or clubs.
■ Activities of Hanbaeumjigi
In order to attract new members, we promoted the club through freshman welcome parties, street recruitment, and opening ceremonies, and were able to spend the first semester with about 200 members.
In the first semester, our society purchased and provided Arduino parts and conducted major and Arduino studies to promote the academic development of our members.
Currently, members of the society participate in a competition called the 'Campus Patent Universiade' and support it.
As for social activities, there are large-scale social activities such as mentor-mentee activities to help seniors and juniors and new and current students become closer, sports competitions with water gun fights on summer days, and MT, which is the highlight of university activities, and there are also small-scale social activities such as the Got-saeng Project currently being held during vacation and the Hanbaemnolja travel support event.
In the second semester, as in the first semester, promotional activities to attract new members will be carried out.
In addition, we plan to hold an on-campus competition called HY_KATHON with other academic societies and clubs to encourage participation from academic society members and improve their interest in the major and their skills.
TogetherWe are planning more comprehensive academic activities, such as 'Learning More', an activity in which graduate students or undergraduate students will speak directly for members interested in graduate school or research labs, and a career seminar for members interested in employment.
In order to further strengthen the bond between members, we are also preparing activities such as fall picnics and e-sports competitions.
■ Memorable academic activities
The mentor/mentee activities are the most memorable.
The mentor/mentee activities of Hanbaeumjigi are a friendly activity where participants rank themselves and receive prize money through various missions.
I think I had a fun first semester because I was able to study with my group members and make many memories.
■ If there is something you want to achieve in Hanbaeumjigi
The first semester has passed without incident and the second semester is approaching. As the president, I will faithfully manage and supervise Hanbaeumjigi with a sense of responsibility to prevent any major incidents.
I also hope to strengthen my mindset through social activities such as meeting more people.
■ A word to the members of the society/div>
During the first semester, the members of the society participated a lot and did great activities. I hope that the second semester will also be a time for everyone to enjoy learning together through participation.
