On the 3rd, LG Electronics installed an OLED signage wall in the elevator dedicated to the observation deck of MahaNakhon Tower, the tallest building in Thailand.

LG Electronics covered all four sides of the interior walls and ceiling, except for the elevator doors, with OLED signage, providing an immersive experience as if you were in a virtual reality (VR) space. 56 55-inch OLED signages were installed in the two elevators dedicated to the observation deck.

During the 50-second climb from the 1st floor to the 78th floor observation deck, visitors can enjoy colorful views of Bangkok from the sky through OLED signage surrounding all four sides.

Mahanakhon Tower is the tallest building in Thailand at 314 meters tall. The Mahanakhon Skywalk, which opened on the 78th floor rooftop, is emerging as a new landmark in Bangkok.

LG OLED signage has a wide viewing angle because it emits light on its own. It displays accurate colors from any angle, making it perfect for crowded spaces. It can achieve perfect black, providing more vivid picture quality.

Also, since there is no backlight, it is thin and the screen border is thin enough that even if several sheets are connected, they appear as one screen. It weighs only 40% of the same size LCD signage, so more passengers can ride in the elevator.

LG Electronics installed an OLED signage wall with the same concept in the Sky Shuttle, an elevator dedicated to the observation deck of Lotte World Tower, the tallest building in Korea, in 2017, and is receiving a favorable response from visitors.

“We will provide a mysterious and new experience to the numerous tourists visiting Bangkok through LG OLED, which combines both overwhelming picture quality and design,” said Lee Seung-cheol, managing director of LG Electronics Thailand.
