Fortinet Korea, a global cybersecurity specialist, announced on the 14th the 'FortiGate Rugged 70G', a new compact rugged appliance that provides enhanced secure networking capabilities and 5G connectivity.

Equipped with 5G dual modems, the 'FortiGate Rugged 70G' is based on the latest 5th generation Fortinet Security Processing Unit (SP5) and provides excellent networking performance, cutting-edge FortiGuard AI-Powered Security Services, and high availability through 5G dual modems. It delivers optimal performance for various use cases in harsh remote environments, including remote ATMs in the financial industry.

Many networks are expanding into new remote locations where they must support and protect sensitive, high-volume traffic and data while maintaining high availability. This appliance integrates enterprise-class threat protection and high-performance networking capabilities such as SD-WAN and zero-trust network access, as well as industry-leading wireless WAN capabilities to ensure high availability.

The 5G dual modem in the 'FortiGate Rugged 70G with 5G Dual Modem' supports smooth, stable, and high-speed communications, ensuring high availability and improved connectivity for critical applications.

It delivers outstanding secure networking performance based on the latest fifth-generation Fortinet Security Processing Unit (SP5), including 8 Gbps of firewall throughput and 7 Gbps of IPSec VPN throughput.

It also features a compact form factor with a fan-less rugged design that can withstand harsh environments such as extreme temperatures, humidity, shock, and vibration.
