MongoDB, a leading developer data platform company, announced on the 7th that it has announced the 'MongoDB AI Applications Program (MAAP)' to help companies quickly build and deploy modern applications with generative AI.
MAAP provides an integrated end-to-end technology stack, including strategic consulting and professional services from MongoDB and its partners, for enterprise customers. It is designed as a one-stop solution that provides the technology stack and expertise needed for enterprises looking to quickly and efficiently introduce generative AI into their applications.
MongoDB has integrated MAAP with technology that enables enterprises to deploy generative AI applications on a unified developer data platform. To this end, we have partnered with consulting and foundation model (FM) providers, cloud infrastructure, generative AI frameworks, and model hosting providers.
Representative companies such as Anthropic, Anyscale, AWS, Cohere, Credal.ai, Fireworks.ai, Google Cloud, gravity9, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Microsoft Azure, Nomic, PeerIslands, Pureinsights, and Together AI are participating as initial partners of MAAP to provide customers with the technology, full-service, and expert support they need.
MAAP is based on customized analysis. It starts with assessing the organization’s current technology stack, identifying problems, developing a strategic roadmap with consulting partners, and creating a prototype. It also verifies that the results meet the customer’s expectations and optimizes the fully built application for use in a real-world production environment. Customers can continue to receive MongoDB Professional Services support to develop new generative AI capabilities as needed.
MAAP partners provide FMs designed to ensure safety, reliability, and usability. Enterprises can combine FMs with technologies such as Augmented Search Generation (RAG) using robust governance controls and their own data. Additionally, fine-tuning and inference services optimized for domain-specific use cases are available through MAAP partners.
For example, you can secure fast AI model response times based on models such as Anthropic, Cohere, Meta, Mistral, and OpenAI. MAAP provides practice-oriented professional services such as generative AI reference architectures, integration technologies, and regulations required for use cases, enabling the construction of secure, high-performance applications that operate as intended.
MAAP offers customized prototyping sessions in a secure, private sandbox environment for businesses that aren’t ready to deploy generative AI at scale. Multiple departments across the organization—strategy, operations, IT, software development—can participate in expert sessions to gather diverse input and leverage customized MAAPs to identify internal business challenges that generative AI can address.
Co-build solutions and test their effectiveness for internal use cases through hackathons led by MongoDB Professional Services.
