As the problem of fine dust becomes more serious by the day, portable air purifiers that can be carried around have appeared.

LG Electronics launches LG PuriCare Mini Air Purifier, a portable air purifier, on the 22nd

LG Electronics announced on the 20th that it will release the portable air purifier 'LG PuriCare Mini Air Purifier (AP139MWA, AP139MBA)' on the 22nd.

PuriCare Mini has excellent air purification performance with a portable PM1.0 sensor, dual inverter motor, and tornado dual cleaning fan.

The portable PM1.0 sensor detects ultrafine dust regardless of whether the product is placed upright or lying down. The dual inverter motor rotates at 5,000 rpm per minute in high-speed mode to quickly suck up pollutants. The tornado dual cleaning fan quickly and widely delivers clean air.

The new product has been recognized for its purifying ability by domestic and international professional certification agencies. It has received CA certification for small air purifiers and CA certification for fine dust sensors from the Korea Air Cleaning Association (KACA). PuriCare Mini is the first portable air purifier to receive both certifications.

The new product also makes less noise. When operating at low wind speed, it generates about 23 dB of noise, which is the level of noise generated in a library. The international certification agency TUV Rheinland also verified that the PuriCare Mini has low operating noise from the motor and fan.

Users can easily charge the battery using the USB Type-C terminal. A single charge can be used for up to 8 hours.

Convenience is also high. The new product weighs 530g, similar to a bottle of water, and can be easily held with one hand by the user. In particular, when used in a car, it can be placed in a cup holder with a diameter of 81mm or more.

Users can check the air quality in real time. The cleanliness indicator light shows the air quality status in four colors, from 'good' to 'very bad'. In addition, if you connect the smartphone and PuriCare Mini via Bluetooth, you can check the remaining battery level, filter replacement cycle, etc. through the dedicated app.

The PuriCare Mini is available in two colors, white and black, and is priced at 309,000 won based on the factory price. The filters are priced at 30,000 won for a pack of three.

The industry estimates that the domestic portable air purifier market grew from about 1 million units per year two years ago to 1.4 million units last year. As fine dust has become more severe recently, the domestic portable air purifier market is expected to grow even more rapidly.

LG Electronics H&A Business Division Air Solution Business Unit Vice President Lee Kam-gyu said, “We will allow customers to enjoy clean air in various places with the differentiated cleaning performance of the PuriCare Mini air purifier.”

Meanwhile, LG Electronics signed a business agreement with Gwangju Metropolitan City and Gwangju Techno Park on the 18th to revitalize the air industry in Gwangju Metropolitan City. The purpose of the agreement is threefold: joint research and development related to the air industry, creation of a cooperative ecosystem in the production and manufacturing sector, and job creation.
