Optimizing HR, Finance, Supply Chain, and Procurement Businesses
SAP S/4HANA® to be installed early next year
SAP optimizes business processes with generative AI copilot solution 'Joule'.
SAP announced on the 4th that it has released 'Joule', a natural language generation artificial intelligence (AI) copilot solution.
Jules is embedded across SAP’s cloud enterprise portfolio and is contextually available based on a variety of SAP solution portfolios as well as third-party sources. Jules helps employees work faster by optimizing business processes. With generative AI, users can interact with SAP applications as if they were having a conversation.
In the future, SAP plans to embed JUUL in various SAP applications, including human resources, finance, supply chain, procurement, customer experience, and SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
JUUL will be available for SAP SuccessFactors® solutions and SAP Start later this year, and will be included in SAP S/4HANA® Cloud Public Edition early next year. It will also be implemented in ‘SAP Customer Experience’, ‘SAP Ariba®’, and ‘SAP BTP’ in the future.
Upcoming events include SAP SuccessConnect (October 2-4), SAP SpendConnect Live (October 9-11), SAP Customer Experience Live (October 25), and SAP TechEd (November 2-3) where updates across the SAP portfolio will be shared.
More than 26,000 SAP cloud customers now have access to SAP Business AI through a variety of scenarios and partner solutions.
Meanwhile, SAP is leading the way in building an enterprise AI ecosystem for the future, including the investments announced in Aleph Alpha, Anthropic, and Cohere in July, and partnerships with Microsoft, Google Cloud, and IBM announced in May. Sapphire Ventures, a global software venture capital firm backed by SAP, is currently investing $1 billion in AI technology startups.
“With approximately 300 million enterprise users globally continuing to leverage SAP cloud solutions, JUUL has the power to redefine how businesses and people work,” said Christian Klein, CEO of SAP. “JUUL builds on SAP’s unique position at the intersection of business and technology and underpins our approach to business AI: relevance, trust and responsibility. JUUL doesn’t just understand speech; it understands meaning.”
“As generative AI moves from the initial hype to the next phase, there is a push to ensure measurable return on investment,” said Phil Carter, vice president, Global Thought Leadership, IDC. “SAP understands that generative AI will one day be part of our daily lives and work, and is building business copilots focused on generating answers based on real-world scenarios, while also putting in place essential guardrails to ensure accountability.”
