Snowflake Cortex Supports NVIDIA Models in Data Cloud
Snowflake, a global data cloud company, strengthens its partnership with NVIDIA by supporting NVIDIA models to accelerate AI productivity in the data cloud.
Snowflake announced on the 21st that it is combining Snowflake's data foundation and AI technology of a highly reliable data cloud with the full-stack NVIDIA acceleration platform.
The two companies will provide secure and powerful capabilities by combining infrastructure and computing technologies designed to increase AI productivity and business velocity and expand new business opportunities across multiple industries.
“Data is the driving force behind AI and is critical to developing an effective AI strategy,” said Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake. “Snowflake’s collaboration with NVIDIA provides a secure, scalable, and easy-to-use platform for trusted enterprise data,” he said. “More importantly, it puts AI in the hands of all users, regardless of technical expertise, so that everyone can benefit from AI technology.”
“Enterprise data is the foundation for custom AI applications that can unlock business intelligence,” said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “By applying NVIDIA accelerated computing and software to Snowflake’s data platform, customers can build, deploy and manage enterprise-specific, generative AI applications, putting AI at the fingertips of their businesses.”
Last June, Snowflake and NVIDIA announced expanded NVIDIA NeMo integration capabilities. This enhanced partnership will allow Snowflake to leverage NVIDIA’s NeMo Retriever directly on its platform while maintaining data security, privacy, and governance.
Nemo Retriever is a generative AI microservice that allows enterprises to connect customized LLMs to enterprise data. It improves the performance and scalability of chatbot applications and helps over 400 enterprises building AI applications with Snowflake Cortex (preview release) realize business value faster. Additionally, the ability to leverage NVIDIA TensorRT, which provides low latency and high throughput for deep learning inference applications, is expected to enhance LLM-based search capabilities for enterprise customers.
NVIDIA accelerated computing is also applied to Snowflake’s AI products such as Snowflake Cortex LLM (public preview), Snowflake Copilot (private preview), and Document AI (private preview), including ‘Snowpark Container Services.’
Meanwhile, Snowflake will participate in the '
2024 IIoT Innovation Day_Part2 ' event on the topic of data management and cloud deployment strategies for digital transformation of the manufacturing industry at COEX Conference Room 308 on March 27.
In this seminar, Ji Seung-heon, Executive Director of Snowflake, will present on ‘Data Cloud for Manufacturing Companies #Data Integration #Data Analysis #Data Utilization.’
