Asia's representative industrial exhibition, the 'Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition 2024 (AW 2024)', will be held for three days from Wednesday the 27th at COEX with the largest number of visitors ever, approximately 60,000 people.

AW 2024, held for the 34th time this year, will be held under the theme of ‘Make Your Factory Sustainable’ with 450 companies from 9 countries participating in 2,000 booths, representing global companies. Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition 2024 (AW 2024) consists of the International Factory Automation Exhibition (aimex), Smart Factory Expo, and Korea Machine Vision Industry Exhibition (Korean Vision Show).

COEX said, “With over 60,000 visitors having completed pre-registration by the day before the opening, not only the number of participating companies’ booths but also the number of visitors are expected to record highs ever. In particular, over 1,000 overseas buyers from countries including Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, Indonesia, and Vietnam have visited Korea, solidifying its position as a true representative Asian industrial exhibition.”

This event presents the future direction of the manufacturing industry and showcases various smart factory solutions, automation technologies, and products, including the latest manufacturing AI, big data, cloud computing, collaborative robots, digital twins, sensors, and machine vision, equipped with global innovative technologies and solutions.

As a major company, LS Electric will celebrate its 50th anniversary by presenting innovative technologies for future factories under the theme of ‘Finding total solutions for the new era of automation industry’ and, through a keynote speech, announce its vision for ‘manufacturing evolving into AI autonomous manufacturing.’

Siemens, a global technology leader, is introducing its ‘Generative AI-based Industrial Copilot Solution’, which is equipped with AI developed in collaboration with Microsoft, and ‘SIMATIC AX’, an IT-oriented PLC program development software tool.

In the Smart Logistics Special Exhibition Hall in Hall D, leading domestic and international companies such as LG CNS, CJ Olive Networks, and Techman Robot will showcase smart logistics solutions utilizing AI, such as autonomous mobile robots (AMR), unmanned guided vehicles (AGV), and logistics automation systems.

Also world cooperationDomestic and international industrial robot companies, including Universal Robots, the number one industrial robot company, Rainbow Robotics, a leading domestic industrial robot manufacturer, and Hanwha Robotics, which is actively targeting the global market with collaborative robots, are also participating in large numbers.

Meanwhile, e4ds news will hold a seminar titled '2024 IIoT Innovation Day_Part2' at COEX Conference Room (South) 308 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM on March 27th at AW2024. Under the theme of data management and cloud construction strategies for digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, we will look at trends in cloud construction methods for digital transformation of the manufacturing industry, and learn about manufacturing site data analysis and management methods and security strategies through each company's solution.

In addition, the '2024 IIoT Innovation Day' event will be held at COEX Conference Room (South) 327 at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 29. It will be a venue to discuss strategies for building smart factories based on IIoT-based digital twin and robot technologies.
