Rydeen 'Tombo 360' unveiled at CES 2020
Provides 5G, facial recognition, and driverless vehicle security features

Rydeen Mobile Electronics, a designer and manufacturer of advanced automotive electronics, is unveiling the Tombo 360, a 360-degree video rearview mirror with built-in touch functionality, at CES 2020.

Unlike typical monitors that capture and record 10-inch HD monitors or DVR videos, Tombo 360 has a built-in 360-degree 4K HD digital video camera to view the interior and exterior of the vehicle, and it also provides connectivity with 4G and 5G communications, facial recognition, and unmanned vehicle security functions.

The 10-inch frameless mirror features a built-in touchscreen that controls and displays streaming 4K video. A single 360-degree camera can stream and record video from all sides of the car, and you can choose to display the front, side, or rear seats of the car for passenger monitoring.

Users can adjust the mirror left and right to view a specific point of interest, as well as set up split screens on the mirror for multiple angles, such as left and right lanes, front, and rear seats.

The Tombo 360 mirror provides an unobstructed view of the outside world and can automatically change the screen to eliminate blind spots. In addition, it has an automatic rear camera option, providing a system for all driving directions. The Tombo 360 mirror allows users to stream video from behind the vehicle.

When the vehicle is in reverse, the Tombo 360 mirror automatically switches to a rearview mirror and becomes a normal reflection mirror when the DVR mirror is turned off, but video recording can continue.

It also uses Sony's high-resolution CMOS sensor with advanced HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology to deliver clear resolution in any situation.

Rydeen plans to add 4G and 5G capabilities to Tombo360, making it a virtual technology hub for all vehicles, including legacy vehicles.

“The Tombo 360 is the only automotive mirror that not only provides a full view inside and around the vehicle, but also combines streaming video with a 360-degree camera,” said Phil Maeda, CEO of Rydeen Mobile Electronics. “Unlike other 360-degree cameras that provide distorted images, ours uses in-house processing to provide a bright, clear field of view while also enabling 4G or 5G, facial recognition and autonomous vehicle security features.”

Rydeen's Tombo 360 will be on display at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7th to 10th.
