Exhibition on hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and utilization
241 companies and organizations from 16 countries around the world participated The event provided a platform to examine the global hydrogen industry ecosystem and technology trends, and received a positive response from visitors, including companies and organizations from various countries.
The global hydrogen industry exhibition 'H2 MEET 2022' is the largest ever and will be held for three days from August 31 to September 3 at KINTEX 2nd Exhibition Center in Goyang City.
This exhibition is hosted by the H2 MEET Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee), organized by KOTRA, KINTEX, and the Organizing Committee, and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Environment, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Linde Korea, which participated in this exhibition, implemented the hydrogen ecosystem (storage, transportation, charging, and utilization) in VR to help visitors understand next-generation hydrogen technology, and received favorable reviews for Linde's next-generation hydrogen technology.

Linde Korea Chairman Seong Baek-seok said, “Linde has a sustainable goal of reducing carbon intensity by 35% by 2030.“We have a strong growth goal, and in line with this, we will continue to focus on the transition to green hydrogen and blue hydrogen, the growth potential of the future hydrogen industry, and the establishment of an industrial ecosystem, and we will create various partnerships and business opportunities,” he said.
EtherCT, which succeeded in domestically producing a 990-bar ultra-high-pressure hydrogen tank, also participated in H2 MEET. After two years of product design, heat treatment process, and spinning molding technology improvements, it passed various hydrogen embrittlement tests such as low-speed strain rate tests and fatigue fracture tests required by the Korea Gas Safety Corporation in August of this year and obtained final product approval, and plans to launch it domestically in the first half of next year.

MS ENG introduced a single-type self-hydrogen charger. It is a form that links a card terminal to an existing charger. Self-charging is only allowed for those who have completed specific safety-related training, so the system is set up so that charging can be done by recognizing the card on the terminal.

The Hydrogen Convergence Alliance (H2KOREA) introduced global hydrogen economy trends and Korea's major hydrogen economy policies. Lee Ye-bin, head researcher at H2KOREA, explained, “Globally, the hydrogen economy is becoming an essential element in the renewable energy sector,” and “The international hydrogen market is largely divided into countries that demand hydrogen and countries that supply it.”

Our country is one of the countries that demand hydrogen and has strengths in sectors such as fuel cell power generation and automobiles.
Lee Ye-bin, head researcher, added, “Related policies began to be implemented in earnest with the announcement of the hydrogen economy activation roadmap in 2019,” and “In particular, policies are being implemented to lead South Korea in clean hydrogen, focusing on blue hydrogen and green hydrogen.”
Regarding this exhibition, the H2 MEET side expressed their expectations for the development of the hydrogen industry, saying, “As the hydrogen industry is gradually growing, the importance of establishing a global value chain is increasing,” and “16 countries are participating in H2 MEET this year, up from 11 last year, and there are signs that it has the potential to become a global exhibition.”
