Morai, Inc., a company specializing in autonomous driving simulation, participated in the Korea-U.S. Startup Summit held in New York from September 20 to September 21. It was reported that the company participated in the Startup Summit and exhibited its autonomous driving simulation platform 'MORAI SIM,' receiving significant interest from global investors and local companies.
The Korea-U.S. Startup Summit is an event hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and organized by the Korea Startup Foundation and Korea Venture Investment to connect and expand the startup ecosystems of both countries, revitalize entrepreneurship, and lay the groundwork for fostering unicorn companies.
Domestic conglomerates such as Naver Cloud and Hyundai Motor Group, along with promising domestic startups collaborating with these companies, attended the event to introduce their technologies and solutions and share cooperation models.
MORAI participated as a partner startup of Naver Cloud and exhibited its autonomous driving simulation platform, 'MORAI SIM,' at the Naver Cloud joint booth.
MORAI SIM is Morai's flagship simulation platform that helps test and verify the safety of autonomous driving systems in a virtual environment identical to reality.
At the event, Minister Lee Young of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups visited the Morai booth to observe the company's autonomous driving simulator and hear an explanation regarding the potential value of the simulation technology. Global investors and local business officials also showed keen interest in the simulation technology and its applications, including experiencing the simulator firsthand.
In addition, Morai received a great response at the Demo Day held as a side event by introducing its vision, technological capabilities, and future business strategy.
Since 2018, shortly after its founding, Morai has attracted three rounds of strategic investment from Naver D2SF and has maintained a close partnership with them.
In addition, it is strengthening cooperation in the field of autonomous driving simulation with 'Team Naver,' including Naver Cloud and Naver Labs.
In addition, Morai has attracted investment from Hyundai Motor Company twice and continues to cooperate closely with the Hyundai Motor Group.
