Opening of German office…Mobility industry expert Thomas Guntschnick appointed as country manager
European Market Expansion Strategy in Full Swing… Participation in 2024 European Autonomous Vehicle Technology Expo Morai is launching a strategy to expand into the European market in earnest, including establishing a German office, appointing a mobility industry expert as branch manager, and participating in autonomous vehicle technology exhibitions.
Morai announced on the 3rd that it established a corporation in Germany and appointed Thomas Guntschnig as branch manager to expand its business and strengthen its market presence in the European and EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) regions.
Morai currently supplies autonomous driving simulators to over 120 companies, research institutes, and universities, including Hyundai Motor Group, Samsung Heavy Industries, and Samsung Engineering.
Building on this growth in the domestic market, we are strengthening our business in the US, Europe, and the Middle East.
To this end, we are working to transform our internal organization to fit global business and enhance our competitiveness in the global market by hiring necessary personnel.
With the opening of this German corporation, we plan to strengthen our go-to-market strategy by hiring local experts.
Thomas Guntschnick, Managing Director, leads Moray’s EMEA business operations, including in Germany, focusing on market expansion in the region, building customer relationships and strengthening strategic partnerships with companies, research institutes, standards bodies and regulators. In charge of anger.
Thomas Guntschnick, an expert in ADAS and autonomous driving, simulation and virtual validation, joined Moray in 2014. Prior to joining Moray, he held various positions in the area of development and validation tools and methods at AVL List GmbH, a specialist in development, simulation and test solutions for mobility and other industries.
In particular, he contributed to the development of innovative tools and methods that enable efficient test process management and virtual testing in the development and verification of powertrains, ADAS, and autonomous driving.
In addition, he is active in major regulatory and standards organizations such as the International Association for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS) and SAE International, and founded and operated GNT Mobility, a specialist company supporting the introduction of next-generation mobility solutions.
“The establishment of this German corporation and the addition of Thomas Guntschnick as CEO will serve as an important stepping stone for Moray to strengthen its position in the European market and expand its global business strategy,” said Jeong Ji-won, CEO of Moray. “Based on Thomas’ extensive experience and expertise in the mobility industry, we will actively seek business opportunities not only in Germany but also throughout Europe.”
He continued, “As part of our strategy to expand into the European market, we plan to participate in the autonomous vehicle technology expo to introduce Morai’s latest simulation technology and success stories to global industry leaders and stakeholders, and actively seek ways to cooperate.”
