국토교통부가 기아㈜, 현대자동차㈜, 테슬라코리아(유), 폭스바겐그룹코리아㈜, 한국토요타자동차㈜에서 제작 또는 수입·판매한 32개 차종 430,534대에서 제작결함이 발견되어 자발적으로 시정조치(리콜)한다고 25일 밝혔다.

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 25th that it will voluntarily take corrective action (recall) in 430,534 units of 32 models manufactured or imported/sold by Kia Motors Corporation, Hyundai Motor Company, Tesla Korea Ltd., Volkswagen Group Korea Ltd., and Toyota Motor Korea Ltd. due to manufacturing defects discovered in them.
In the case of Kia, 210,283 units of two models, including the K5, have been under corrective action since July 22 due to insufficient durability of the electronic control hydraulic unit (HECU), and 1,986 units of the Niro EV have been under corrective action since July 24 due to a manufacturing defect in the high-voltage battery power cutoff device.
Hyundai Motor Company will begin corrective measures on July 30 for 178,489 units of three models, including the Tucson, due to durability issues in the electronic control hydraulic unit (HECU), and on July 31 for 3,142 units of two models, including the GV80, due to a design error in the electric side step (a device that automatically deploys to support your feet when the car door opens and closes).
Tesla Model Y 22,072 units will undergo corrective action starting July 26 due to non-compliance with safety standards as the lighting device does not meet installation standards.
Volkswagen's A3 40 TFSI and 5,341 vehicles from 5 models are undergoing corrective action starting July 26 due to defective fuel pumps, and 833 e-tron 55 quattro vehicles are undergoing corrective action starting July 24 due to defective high-voltage battery modules.
Toyota is 13 models including the ES300h and 5,559 vehicles will undergo corrective measures starting July 25 due to welding defects in the front/rear cameras, and 4 models including the NX350h and 2,829 vehicles will undergo corrective measures due to a software error in the front recognition camera.
