Next-generation tactile technology-based vehicle steering wheel UI unveiled…
Continued export of LED solutions to European market

Electronic components specialist Livik Co., Ltd. participated in the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show and showcased innovative user interface solutions centered on haptic technology for vehicles. Through this exhibition, Livik focused the attention of visitors and industry insiders by presenting haptic-based technology as a core interface for future vehicles.

Livik is a company that manufactures and supplies various electronic components such as LED solutions, haptic solutions, fan motors, chip resistors, and secondary batteries, and continuously supplies products to domestic and foreign automakers and electrical equipment companies.

The technology that received the most attention at the event was the haptic interface system applied to the vehicle's steering wheel. This technology is designed to allow users to feel an actual physical 'click' when pressing a button, and is significant in that it expands the existing visual and auditory-centered HMI to a tactile-centered one.

“Haptic technology has been in the market for a long time, but the user’s sensory satisfaction greatly varies depending on how precisely it is implemented,” explained the Livik side. In fact, Jin-eop Son, CEO of Sound Studio, who has been serving as a design advisor for global automobile brands, also emphasized the importance of implementing haptic sensitivity, saying, “In order to implement a luxurious feel, global OEMs are conducting close joint development with numerous partners.”

Haptic samples currently being used in development

In addition to haptics, Livik has secured its own technology in developing IC drivers for LED solutions, and these products are being supplied to major European automobile manufacturers. Team Leader Yang Jun-hong said, “We are continuously developing high-efficiency, high-precision LED modules in line with the next-generation vehicle lighting trend,” and “We will provide solutions that satisfy both functionality and design.”

With this exhibition as an opportunity, Livik plans to present new possibilities in in-vehicle interface technology and begin full-scale global expansion, focusing on the European and premium markets that value emotional quality.
